Neurofibromatosis is usually noncancerous. There are three types of this condition. Type 1 usually appears in childhood, while Types 2 and 3 appear in early adulthood. Type 1 can cause bone deformities, learning disabilities, and high blood pressure. Type 2 can cause hearing loss, vision loss, and difficulty with balance. Type 3 can cause chronic pain throughout the body....
I have had...NF...all my life....and have delt with what come with it ...the best I can...but lately.. .I have been having constant pain in my feet...toes..and fingers. ..It used to be just my left foot and toes...and I would just deal with it..take over the counter pain meds....but now..now it both feet and hands..anyone recommend a doctor I can see..that will help..I live central Texas...Thank U
I also have Pain associated with NF.
I cannot stand or walk extended periods.
A few hours on my feet causes excruciating pain.
Some times I crawl on my hands and knees.
In about 1 month, I am will lose my job (FMLA expires) because my employer cannot (or will not) accommodate my restrictions.... no more than 5 hrs a day on my feet.
