Some of you may remember I posted late last summer about the former N bf visiting my elderly Mom in a nursing home and leaving me a card saying part of him would always love me. He visited her again in October and got married in November. I learned several weeks ago, he brought his wife-to-be with him who told the receptionist, they were engaged and getting married in a month. The receptionist related she was not impressed as they were visiting the ex girlfriend’s mother. I also wondered what they would have done if I had been there. I don’t blame the gal as I suspect she was feeling insecure and that’s exactly the position he wanted her in, but I do wonder why she went. Fast forward to this last week - my Mom passed away on Tuesday. Before I posted pictures and information about Mom on Facebook, I blocked him as he could still see my page (he’s a friend of a friend). When I was updating Mom’s obit several weeks ago, I made sure the date and time of the graveside service would not be mentioned because he is impulsive and has a “second” home in my area. There was no way I wanted him to show up. Yesterday (the day of the service), I received two “generic” emails from him. I have him blocked, but I get a notice if an email goes into Junk mail. Do they ever go away??? I’m ok and now that Mom is gone, the connection is totally broken as she liked him and I wanted to honor that RL. I sincerely hope he doesn’t attempt any more contact, but if he does, I’m invisible - at least to him:)

I am reading this a few days late, but wanted to add my sympathies as well. You should be commended for handling the situation with your exN so honorable while your mom was still alive. Hugs.
I hope that now you will not have to endure his presence and the new girlfriend anymore.
I too wonder about these girlfriends. I would never accompamy him unless i am sure that it was okay with you. For example, with my first husband --- very good man --- when he got engaged he wanted to visit my mom with her.....but we were the best of friends and he talked to me about it. On the other hand, my second husband ---- the exN ---- has been showing up with his new victim to my favorite spot starting two weeks after our divorce...and for the past three years. He was cheating With her when we were together. Anyway...what is she thinking?????? Further, he sits with his back towars me and makes her sit looking toward me. The poor girl....either she is sick and likes it...or her tummy must be churning, because he is abusing her and she lets him, and she feels powerless to tell him they need to get the f@@@@ out of there and finf their own spot.
