I am emotionally exhausted, though and ready to call it a day, even though there are a lot of things I SHOULD do.
I'm reminded of this when I read your posts pertaining to the car troubles and I remember the insane "where is a canyon I can scream into?" frustration! I picture you there doing this work on your car and I'm thinking "good for you" it makes me think of my beloved grandmother, unstoppable feminist mechanic for boeing during WW2. Then I feel really frustrated for you because sometimes car stuff is the worst, we're sooo dependent on them. Then I stop and think, I hope one day when a lot of this is behind you you'll see what an amazing job you did taking all this on. The car, the lawyers, the bills, the balancing, you seem like something of a warrior.
I'm sorry you are going through all this Dadda. I know I'm scattered at the moment so maybe I go too far outside the main topic. I guess I just want to say I do hope you get some rest and I hope soon some peace but that warrior woman inside of you is persevering regardless of all of these outside forces and I think through tears, rages and laughter she's going to carry you through it.
I'm so grateful for the "shoring up" I get; even the feeling of nobility that the fight takes on. I used to work pretty long and hard days, I know I am no shirker and I very seldom ask for help until the case is desperate. SO I know that if I say, "It's hard", it IS. After this is all over, I will have nothing but credibility from having gone through what I have. I like the imagery, because I don't know about all of you, but I can only wonder about "heroes" from the past (I like people like Dorothea Dix, Florence Nightingale, MLK, Harriet Tubman and a host of others ...) and wonder how many "dark nights of the soul" they must have faced in trying to make a positive difference ... not like I'm a hero, but the imagery does help!
And KassandraDee, I fell asleep shortly after my last post and slept through the night (except for hearing thunder, at which point I got up and unplugged all the computer stuff! Then, back to bed. To the WEIRDEST dreams. I had some nightmares I can't remember, but I also had all these naked little babies (that were mine) but I couldn't remember when I had given birth to them all. I had to call the doctor's office and kept thinking I'd be in trouble for not "registering" them ... one had all kinds of teeth and it seems there was something wrong with her. Very weird ... plus getting on and off boats with my youngest daughter and running into guys who wanted to know why we were on their boats but didn't challenge us. I at least feel rested again ... thank goodness.
I am going to call the pastor and see if he can help me before I have to work and look up WHY the hydraulics mightn't be kicking in. I guess the thing that is the hardest to take is that I am "running a race" in which the cheating is becoming more and more apparent, especially the level in the past. If I was in the Olympics or anything high-level, these folks that have done what they have would have been called to the carpet LONG ago. And so, it doesn't seem right that there is a different standard for us "little folk" ... any of us ... but only persistence and continuing on will change that!
And I just learned that the local phone service is past due ... they want $227; the long distance has been cut off for weeks now, making it difficult, because the local service doesn't even extend to the "city" 15 miles away! All in violation of Court Order .... and I am REALLY starting to wonder that my attorney is doing ... nothing.
