I wish I was on Vacation....

Kids are with dad for 3 nights... Vacation for me!

I wanna vacation, too! I think if I could go anywhere, I would like to go check out England and wander around in York, where I guess a lot of ancestors came from. That would be my 1st vacation. Go check out the pubs and the beaches. And the church with the parrot coat of arms. Anyone else?

the kids and I are saving our pennies to go to Africa and stay in a camp in Kenya. We plan on going on safari to track down lions, elephants in the wild. If we can aford it we would also like to go to South Africa and see the Penguins...

This summer we are doing staycations, except for staying with a friend near the beach mid July.

good for you! go to Kenya it is very nice there , do Masai Mara safari , it is beautiful. You will enjoy it. I did it twice and i want to do it again!!

Maybe that will be my second vacation. The penguins sound fun and to see other parts of the world. It is weird to think how little most of us see in our whole lives!

Dadda, I'd go to England with you, when was 8 and in Brownies, I met the Queen of England, handed her daffodils and was in the McCleans magazine, in the particular shot, she was taking flowers from my hand. It was a very memorable experience for me. I still have the original Magazine and a few high gloss photos that the editor gave me later. Wonder if she'd remember me? haha

KassandraDee, that is funny. I mean, seriously, isn't it weird how WE remember her, but does she remember you? That also reminds me of a kind of funny story. I used to manage a small store and plenty of male attention (not always positive, though!). Those were the days, hah! Young and not-stressed out! I used to party a bit here and there, anyway I walked into the fish and chip store to get some oysters. A male customer I knew from my store was in there and he literally started "freaking" ... "It's her, it's her...!!" On and on. I wanted to crawl between the seats or run. Very uncomfortable. But the evil little part of me wishes, almost I could still get that kind of response. It would be fun for that sort of thing to make the gossip rounds!

I like your story, though. Do you think you'd want to post the picture sometime? I want to drag out my old albums and post some after I scan them in. And totally off the wall, but I sometimes wonder if Charles will EVER be King?!

And I would be glad of the company ... it would be fun to blow off steam, be silly and just have a nice time exploring, check out the music scene and all else ...

Dadda, I will post a photo of the event. It's a scanned photo and I do believe I have it up on my Facebook. My old lap top died this past April and I lost EVERYTHING. So I went out and bout a bigger, newer lap top that I love. It's a Gateway my last one was a DELL and I had it for 5 years so I do hope to get the same use out of this one.

There is no way she remembers me, think of all the people she meets on her visits. It was special to me however, Handing her daffodils from my mom garden and her taken them from me with her white gloves. I'm easy to spot among the other children, I'm right in-front of her and I still kinda still look the same so if you've seen the photos that I've posted here you'll see. I'll look for the photo.

KassandraDee, that's probably the closest I'll EVER be to celebrity status LOL so I better remember it til I am too old to! I still think that you never know ... we all make impressions on people and do you know how those odd little memories of certain events always seem to be the ones that repeat? Even the rich and famous probably do the same, they just have to wring their memories for the details ... oooh, I KNOW her name, it's right here on the tip ... oh, blast it, it's gone ... so maddening, I say! (all with proper accent) I am just being silly, of course, in that last line, not necessarily the preceding ones ... anyway, hope you have a lovely vacation and don't forget to send us a postcard!
