If oyur daughters are living adult lives.. living w/boyfriends, friends, on there own and not in school.(well, living with boys even while in school) they are ready for adult responsibilities. Which includes paying their own bills. If she withdrew from school and is looking for work. she is an adult and on her own. You should feel no guilt there. Ask her for the textbooks back. Try and sell them. They are yours, you paid for them. My parents paid for mine until I was done with school and then I was on my own.
Yes, a separate page for your research will be good. People looking for that info will find it, and not necessarily your personal info. This is a great idea.
This AM I am going to pick up Walnuts that are falling off the trees around here. Drying them in the basement and then cracking them for baking this winter.
You should go for a walk today too. Enjoy the change of season and dream of moving south!
We are not passing on the family tragedy. We are trying to save ourselves, which in the end will put a stop to the tragedy.
I read this today and now I pass it on to you:
" Feelings are like much like waves
You cannot stop them from coming
But we can chose which ones to surf"
I was so emotionally and physically exhausted that when I got done working, I slept and slept and slept some more. So now time to regroup. Think I will go for a walk or maybe a bike ride (since he didn't steal my bike).
I had already thought to sell the books; it's just ironic ... there is no sense of letting it drag me down ... and already, I hope she is learning, but I think it will take a while as she is now so set on her course and doesn't here how similar she sounds to last month ... it's a shame, but will keep the doors of communication open ... I know how important it is that I "not become Grandma" in terms of they need to grow up, take THEIR responsibilities. If anyone messes them over, etc or is wrong, then I will say something but can't necessarily drop everything to rescue nor should I and if they screw someone over because they get tired or don't want to fulfill what they need to ... doesn't mean it will be easy and THAT is where I know I will need but (probably) have trouble being strong.
Redfern, I need to get back into that (part-time) and yes, I hear you on the spending issue. I used to save all my change (alas, it is gone, for now) but would save hundreds that way before I ever touched it. My car will be needing more work, too. Just wish I had a heated garage LOL.
