Hoping to stop biting my nails??

So I came across this website because of this http://health.howstuffworks.com/skin-care/nail-care/tips/5-ways-to-prevent-nail-biting.htm . At the moment, my nails are on a really horrible condition but I'm hoping to grow them and to quit biting them. I hope all goes well and I hope that link helps any of yall (:

I am trying to stop too. I stopped around Christmas and was doing well, but I can't keep my hands out my mouth and if I even have a slight tear or snag., I bite to fix it. Nail polish didn't work now that I'm back at work.

Hi Edyoukateor,

If I use nail clippers, I do not bite my nails nearly as often because they are smooth and nice, so I do not try to fix them with my teeth. I guess some people get compulsive with the clippers, but fortunately I have not had that problem. I don't know if clippers would help you by clipping the rough edges of tears or snags-- without damaging the skin or nails with the clippers.
