Empaths and Migraines

Do any of you experience migraines? I did for many years (more like decades). It is only within the last few years that they have subsided but I can still remember many of the episodes that I had over the years - so many in fact that I would wind up in the emergency room of the local hospital in the 'wee' hours of the morning. My husband and family were no strangers to my experiencing them.

I wonder how our empathetic abilities and migraines are related.

migraines are terrible so my sympathies go to anyone with them ..I have a family member who suffers with them ..I have noticed with them very tune to their surroundings but downside to this they cannot be amonst lots of people it seems to much they pick up all kinds of vibes..I know migraines you can have a never ending list of things that can set them off my family member has..weather they sense a storm coming...The worse time for their migraine attaks was when they was a teenager stress and hormones whizzing round and around this time the pain was horrendous ..they do still have them but not as severe as when a teenager

It's interesting that you brought up the subject. I have had times in my teenage years when I was dealing with mignraines on a frequent basis then they seemed to subside. Recently during the last week I have had headaches and migraines again. Tried computer glasses, took painkillers but nothing helped. Maybe it is weather related because it's plain nuts here ( California ), we are going from high summer to cold and rain and rain and hot and humid and just roll the dice and your guess is as good as the weatherman's.

On a more clairsentinent association I have lately tried to adjust to another person whcih took a bit of strength for me since I was not comfortable with it at first. I am getting less frequent headaches now that I have found a path or connection with that person which is very positive actually.

I don't know what an empath is. I experience terrible migraines....have my whole life. Generally I don't get pain at first....I get the *aura* but mine is so wild....like swirlys and lights flashing and it usually obstructs my vision so I can't see right so I have to lie down because I could fall. Then later after it passes I may get a painful headache...may not. I also have a low threshold for seizures. I have a particularly hard time with those fluorescent lights like in Target or Bed Bath and Beyond...I had a grand mal seizure in Target once. I was in BBB the other day and I started feeling so sick I had to get out of there.
