Do dreams mean anything?

If you believe that they do, how do you record them? Do you record them? How have they helped you?

Hi xRisingxPho. I think dreams mean something. I call the sleep world, the unconscious upside down world where we cam process what is going on in our minds. I used to write down in a notebook my vivid dreams where I remembered the whole dream. In my early recovery I used to dream about my parents and there was always a rock star there to protect me. This is because music was so important and still is to me. At the time I was disabled. A couple of years passed and then I started dreaming about staying in motels, that showed me that I was moving in my recovery journey. We use more brain cells when we sleep than watching t.v. which I no longer care for or have.

I actually wish I would not dream, my dreams are too intense, or confusing, or scary, or full of fear, if I could I would banish all dreams to nothing, I would prefer to NOT dream at all

I day dream during the day, those I don't mind, those, I think are productive, night dreams to me are just bits and pieces of your day, experience, fears, that are passing through the subconscious.

I do not watch TV hardly ever, mirto, have not really watched it for months, do keep it in case a good PBS or documentary comes on, or for for big news

Good response. bookworm. I'm glad you haven't been filled with propaganda. What started me with the dreams was they got better, as a kid I would die in them. My working life was mental health, which in an agency is pretty shabby. I liked my clients better than any colleague (save two colleagues). I read the Noticias and The Nation for news. I got a mac because it can block advertisements. I'm very affected by what I read. And now I don't remember my dreams and wake up after a few hours. Could be light pollution or just old age!

anybody got any bright ideas how to stop nightmares? recently I had a really bad one,I did not want to go back to bed! also I have reacurring dreams about a place I worked in years ago they are always very
unpleasant,anyone got any ideas apart from staying up all night.
