My HH is in the back of my head and scalp. At its peak my face literally drips rain drops of non stop sweat and my hair becomes totally soaked as if I just took a shower with my clothes on.
Any suggestions appreciated!

I have not personally had a bone marrow transplant - I chose to go with REvlimid instead, because of my age and existing difficulties with my liver. I do, however, have a friend and a couple of acquaintances who have had bone marrow transplants, have survived and are now doing very well. I also have a friend whose brother did not survive his transplant. It is high risk, but the only known "Cure" for myelodysplasia. It is not an easy road to follow, from talking to my friends, but it can be done.
If there is a Leukemia & Lymphoma support group in your area, or an MDS support group, you might ask there if anyone has experienced the bone marrow transplant and what to expect. It would probably be helpful for you to have a "transplant buddy" near you, to talk to frequently. If you do decide to go that way, I hope it works beautifully for you, and that you are forever cured!

Hi there... it seems that no-one has been in this part of the woods for a while. I have had bone-marrow issues since I was 20yrs old (treated for Aplastic Anemia) and now diagnosed with low-risk MDS close to 10 years later. Because of my age they are considering transplant for the future. But at the moment it is only my platelets being effected... between 20-30. Is BMT likely? At the moment it's watch and wait. I have no family members who are a match for me. I see the transplant specialist in a few weeks. Wish I could predict the future! It's really hard to not worry how this is going to turn out.

Is there anyone else here around my age.... or who has had a transplant after long years of marrow disfunction? Love to chat!
