Linda, I love that song, too. It is so beautiful, and now it always reminds me of Good Morning Vietnam. So sad, that part. Anyway, just a beautiful, beautiful song. I love Satchmo. Such a class act and just a great personality. I think that is what made me play trumpet in band.

This song always brings me peace - not sure why - but I think it is one of the most all-time great songs of our time.

LJ, I had to tell you, we went to SF this last weekend, and had dinner at John's Bar and Grille. It is where the Dashelle Hammet society meets. The Sam Spade place. Anyway there was a piano player, and I went to give him a tip. I then asked him if he took requests. He said yes. I asked him if he knew Heaven the song from the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie. He did not. So then I said -Okay, I'll just trust you -lol.
Then he played this song -It's a Wonderful World -I thought of you. It was a gorgeous rendition. It was quite jazzy. It gave me goosebumps.
