Microphone for recording Acoustic + Vocals

I've been recommended a Shure SM58.. it seems pricey... and people have said dynamic mics aren't ideal for this. I should get a condenser apparently. But..they say dynamics are for vocals. Eek.. help?

Personally, Id stick with the Sure SM58. It will give a greater flexibility in the long run, being ideal for live performance and recording.
If you are looking for something versatile to record on with the advantage of layering tracks. Id recommend the Boss Micro BR. It has a superb recording mic built in to it and gives you the option to layer and build tracks.

I've gone with a rather expensive choice the Rode NT-1 after discussion with people on Ultimate guitar. My anxiety is proving an immense problem and performing perhaps a while off. I'd rather have something devoted to the studio environment while I have no band, and no gigs to attend, so I can hopefully focus on getting a cd done or a mypsace page up when I am ready.
