CWB, technically no. The Sterophonics early material fits the genre but the song you posted was fairly recent and the genre type doesn't quite exist now (it's like an of a certain time thing - acts that were a part of it then that are still together now aren't really still a part of it because the genre fragmented and doesn't really exist anymore.

Ah, see again, it's a matter of the fact that OutKast started during the golden age of hip hop hence why they were on the list, but that song came out long after what they would deem the actual golden age of hip hop. It's great song though and certainly does have that party vibe... but still...lol

The lists they're giving of artists isn't wrong per se, just that there are certainly some artists that continue to make music after the genre has altered or dissipated so the music they make after that era is over doesn't qualify even though the artist themselves would. Complicated I know...

LOL at Disco Duck - I was just listening to a radio program last night where someone kept requesting Disco Duck and the guy kept refusing to play it and then I see you posted it here! I grew up knowing Rick Dees only as a radio DJ - it wasn't until I was much older that I ever heard of Disco Duck... I still prefer to think of him as just a dj...

There are many forms of R&B, but you only stated R&B so I read up on the main page for it and it stated there that the genre was first named back in the late 40's and that was one of the first big hits of the genre and it dominated the R&B charts for like a year too, so that's why I went with it. R&B back then had a much more prominent jazz influence and was more reliant on the blues aspect than the rhythm part apparently. The things you can learn from Wikipedia...

So true that the first thought that comes with the word Grunge when related to music anyway is indeed Nirvana. They put that genre subset and that Seattle sound on the map really. Them and Pearl Jam, but Pearl Jam have obviously lasted longer and branched out so they're not as tied to the moment as Nirvana is. I do wonder if Nirvana would've lasted or veered away from grunge if Kurt Cobain didn't die...

Anyway... on to country...
Heh, I do love going back to the early days of a genre before it is able to splinter into various subsets... Did you know country music originated in the '20s?! Course then it was more often referred to as "Hillbilly music"... but still...

okay the country, I chose it, am not a country fan per se but really do realize that the simplicity of it is a calming influence. And have realized I like that genre. I learned some country western dances from friends in about 85' I was a total rock hound lol.
When my daughter was in infant ICU the nurses played country music, said it calmed the babies best, it's also interesting about the subsets..........?..country rock, etc. I think that bands like the 70's like Poco, the Eagles, Firefall, Little River Band, etc now could be called country.
The country I heard as a kid, was more that country sound I think, plus there is I think, a difference between country and western.
