Struggling with Muscular Dystrophy, Will to Live

Hello. My name is Puneet. I am 32 and have Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. I also sufffer from Depression, Anxiety and alcoholism. I am weak, I have barely eaten or slept in weeks and just hate my life. I am weak, I am lonely, I hate my job, I hate my life, I just wish that I were dead. Someone please help me.

It has been a month since you posted. I hope that you are feeling better. I see someone who is overwhelmed. I have been there too. What helped me was seeing a good therapist. It took time but I was able to crawl out of the black hole and see the light again. I hope you will get help and find your way.

Hi. I was diagnosed with LGMD at 19 and am 44 now
I am a divorced mother or 2 sons.
I can say I get angry at times but I've dealt with this as it comes
I am confined to wheelchair the past 2 years and believe me it isn't easy.
I accepted the fact that I will have to deal with a lot problems in the future. I have my family to support me and treat me as "normal"

On top of my MD I was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago and now recently suffer from Tinnitus

I cannot drive anymore, need to be lift into the car and out. I made adjustments to my house that I am completely independent.

Something that helps me cope when I have a really bad day is to get out of the house. I go to a comedy club or go to movies but just get out from your daily surroundings

I cannot find employment due to the fact there isn't much office premises that is wheelchair friendly so I'm trying to start my business from home. Not successful yet but I will keep on trying.

Each of us deal with things differently but please do not think your life is over, it is just beginning to lead you down another path

God bless you MandyM. I am 34 and have been searching for answers for 5 years......I have a form of distal muscular dystrophy. Life is not easy but at least we are living. I am having my second child next month and I am secretly scared out of my mind. My MD is mild right now but I can't climb stairs without holding 2 railings and using my upper body, and I have a terribly hard time with hills. You are in my prayers.
