Reaching Out to Others with MCS

Where do I begin...MCS has impacted my life in so many ways. I really need a support group of others who know what this is like. My life has become very isolated as well as a life of avoidance. Avoiding any and all Products with  fragrance/perfume, cleaning products, heavy spices, as well as steering clear of anyone wearing or using these products. I cannot be around it at all. I think I've been tolerating it for many years and not really wanting to face the sheer magnitude of how difficult and lonely this condition is. So here I am. I welcome any and all experiences. It's always nice to not feel alone in this.

I'm really sorry that MCS has greatly impacted your life. Like you, I spend every day trying to avoid the triggers that will set off a range of symptoms, including anaphylaxis. While my hubby and friends are extremely supportive and understanding, none of them have MCS. So, it would be great to have a friend with first-hand knowledge of how difficult it is to live a normal life with this illness.

Yes, it is nice to have someone to share with. Thank you so much. My MCS journey started about 13 - 15 years ago. I didn't know what was happening to me. My life has completely changed. I look forward to talking more about this with you and hearing your experiences as well.

yes, it's very isolating. I am at the point where I don't want to go anywhere and prefer my isolation. no problems with the pandemic. I think I have just become very eccentric. Every once in awhile I imagine what life used to be like and it is very sad.
