Hi all!! Hugs and besos to all..as the warm weather comes clothes are shed n skin is revealed lol its something in the water..anywho I don't have pics posted but I have 20 tattoos..some are small but a large majority are quite large..by the way yes I want more lol..anyway when I got them all man did they hurt as they should piercing the skin thousands of times with multiple needles..it feels like razors cutting the same spot over n over...its a pain I can't describe n different areas of the body especially boney spots...it hurts like crazy n tho I've shed tears getting um I want more tarts..some ask me man how could u go thru all that pain? Well I love tatts I love how u can express stories thru art..all of my tats have stories of my life..pain or no pain I want them..Ms pain? Totally new story..it doesn't go away..u can't take a break when the pain gets too much..u can't stop n start again Tommy..I don't have a choice with this kind of pain..definatly not the same...I want to get a tattoo to tell the story of Ms n what I've been thru..should be an interesting piece..and the pain of it? Aahh its temporary..the story will last a lifetime.

LOL I'm with you! I got my first tattoo ever maybe a year ago...the back of my left hand--whole thing. I was so nervous having heard of the pain...and knowing hands are most painful spot to tatt. But when they did it I just laughed the whole time. I mean...compared to a flare its nothing! The pain that puts me in the ER, the MS pain...its indescribable.
So heck yeah get some more! At this point (almost 5 years w/ chronic MS pain) its like a fly buzzing at my ear... LOL

I really like them on some, but I never would have one. I'm too old feeling for a tat. It also sounds very painful. Nope, not for me.

I got my first tattoo when I was about 25 and it freaking hurt and I bleed way to much when the guy was doing it, he said he could not finish it and asked me to return. (I never went back)
In exchange for my MS I would get a tatoo every day on my body, nothing could compare to the pain in my spine right now.........so yeah I would get another tattoo and take the pain of those needles.
Oh by the way I got a cute little butterfly on my right shoulder, there are a few spots in the wings that are not finished, but I am okay with that.

I love getting tattoos, I sweat instead of being in a great amount of pain. My brain plays tricks like that to get my attention off of needles with ink going into my skin. I have two that took a total of five sittings to complete and am looking to get another one that will symbolize my daily challenges. I was thinking an anchor on the foot with needles as the horizontal pull up. Anchor for my dad that has an awesome anchor and has always been the balance for my crazy tendencies, left foot for the crappy MS that feels like a weight is pulling down on my left side and needles for my ventures with Diabetes.

man, i love tattoos. i was getting my entire back tattooed at the time of my dx 9 years ago, and stopped per neuro. orders. about 2 years ago, decided to get one on my elbow just to see, and it was no problem pain wise. got a couple more smaller ones for fun, and enjoyed no pain (well, nothing abnormal from any other tattoo). however, just got another a month ago on my arm, most painful experience of my life! who knows, maybe just the m.s. rollercoaster, but i will still get more!

I've enjoyed my tats and my latest one was of my start w/ MS. It's on the top of the foot but I'm not finished yet b/c I still have more that i want to add. I was fine even though it did hurt like a you know what, I dealt w/ it. Luckily, no flare ups since or before hand, so that was good. I will be getting more, just trying to figure how I want it start now b/c I have others also. I think you will be fine and rock on w/ tats b/c they are awesome.

I'm not into tattoos I will admit. However, my cousin is a famous tattoo artist that has traveled all over the world.
The most important thing about getting tattoos done is hygiene, hygiene, hygiene and also the skill of the artist.
If you don't have this combination, you'll end up with a bunch of crappy tattoos that you'll one day be wanting to be rid of.
Believe me, I know and I've sure heard some stories from his old grandma (my "aunt"). She doesn't care for tattoos either but she admits that her grandson, my cousin, is extremely talented and also believes that the tattoo is only as good as the artist.
Best of luck and I hope you know what you are doing. The pain thing does not sound attractive to me, I know that much! (lol ...)
