My doctors for years blamed by backache on arthritis. The Cscan showed just a little bit of it. i kept telling the doctor that isn't a little bit of anything but with no response. I find to this day that backache that has been with me for twenty years and became progressively worse was really MS. My legs are too weak to support me thus the backache.

And by the way, I swore I would never be a member of a subgroup by I find Ichoppel to be very open. She was kind enough to write a private note explaining to me why a post had been removed from the main board. It wasn't due to the content. It was due to the langage being used. I feel yes...sure...boards need to have standards and that should be one. I was very pleased to find it wasn't due to different opinions and we had been allowed to be very vocal. I respect DS for allowing that for their posters.

As always I try to be active on any board i become a member of but sometimes my fingers won't work....but i will be here.

I sit here rocking, I am in so much 'ache'. As of yet i am not dx-ed with anything. first I was told possible MS, now Im being told possible Parkinson's. But definitely I was told arthritis, in my hips and jaws (upper& lower).
Ive taken everything rx Ive been given but this sure as hell isnt cuttin' it--and like you makes me wonder if all this pain isnt more than just arthritis. In retrospect of being told arthritis, I can see how in years back, that dx fits. But the pain an ache that I feel now, is nothing like it 'was'.....this is absolutely debilitating !! I dont know where I really belong on the DS boards anymore MS or PD?? so I just keep bouncing back and forth :(

Sandy, I built displays for stores for a living. I was always taking pieces of furniture, taking them apart, adding another piece to make a new piece. I used band saws. I climbed on the tallest of ladders to hang grape vine sprayed white with tinkle white lights, I built Winne the Poo trees with wire mesh.....I knew what a backache was...It was part of my job.

The backache with MS is different. It is like an open exposed raw nerve. It never goes away. No pain meds touch it.

Yea, I know exactly what you are talking about. It took ten years to find a doctor that would be wise enough to go beyond my complaint of back pain invesitgating further. I was shocked to find my toes were numb? I had never had a real neuro exam. She asked me to close my eyes and tell her which toe she was touching. My answer was, "They feel like cotton."

Keep searching. I wish I had. My body suffers today due to lack of treatment.

I am in "ache" all the time. I have always described my pain as a toothache that wont go away!!! I also fell very arthritic! I am currently waiting inpatient treatment. My neurologist wants to admit me into hospital for pain management and investigation of pain. Now, Im waiting for a bed. I cant wait, because chronic pain gives you NO quality of life. Im glad Im not alone x
