It becomes painful when even someone who loves me "reaches out to give a gentle squeeze on the arm, or hug on the right side." The pain is just that. Pain. To describe it is hard, maybe it is as if it has the feeling one might get after being slapped hard in the face. Kind of a tingly, sharp pain. I just know it is not fun at all.
My poor husband and kids know not to touch my right side. Even if I am sitting down and someone touches my right toe, it hurts! It is so weird. I am not a complainer, to most folks, but, I am starting to have to tell people not to give me "hugs. or rub my right side". It hurts even when I touch my own right side! Like, if I maybe rub my hand on my own stomach, on the right side. It hurts. :( I can't even shake hands with folks in church, 'cause I am right handed, and to do so hurts me!
I am just wondering if anyone else out there feels this too. If you do, I am sorry. :(
Thanks for sharing.
