I was not believed, even when there was a registered sex offender in the picture (which I did not know was one at the time, but they did). They accused me of many things. I spent years hearing my child say they can't tell me what happens at the other parent's house, or they will go to jail. The judge didn't even bother to listen to any of the evidence I had. In the meantime, I've watched all the symptoms of abuse surface in my child. My child has directly told me that telling makes things worse. So much more happened, and I can say that it is truly traumatic to try to get help and have the opposite happen. You aren't the only one. The system is so broken, and seems to protect only abusers. I know others who have experienced the same thing.

My case hasn't even been to court. It was NFA'd due to no evidence. It has been said I put it in my childs head, have mental health problems, it obviously isn't true etc, everything to discredit me or my chuld. My child was too young / frightened to be interviewed so most of the evidence was what they told me.
Yes I experienced that, watching the symptoms of the abuse come out in their behaviour and play. And rather then be given support and advise you're told nothing and then discredited. My child has also said that if they told they would go to prison, amongst other things. No words can describe the feeling of hearing such disclosures from your child. Things need to change to prevent it happened to others. It's like living a nightmare. Hope your child is alright

Yes, we had court ordered Psych evals because how could I possibly accuse them of something like that - I am just the mean ex is how they looked at me. I am sorry you are having to go through the same thing. It is truly a living nightmare. My child has been through so much, but every time a counselor begins to make progress, her dad convinces her she doesn't need counseling, so she now refuses all treatment. He has always resisted and got in the way of counseling, even when she was suicidal. I so wish my child could have a better life.

I feel for both of you. I too am in a similar situation. After my 11 year old daughter was given a full interview about her father and his girlfriend at the time both together and separately sexually assaulted her, the case is almost getting to a close because my daughter's say being the only said "evidence". His interview was reviewed and concluded; because he denied it and looked "genuinely confused" that there isn't enough evidence to further the case :(
