I have searched long and hard for a support group dealing with the specific issues that a mother who finds out their child/ren have been sexually abused by their husband or boyfriend face. Once the swirling chaos dies down after discovery and reporting of the abuse, we are left with so many questions, judgement by people we love the most, DSS, police, investigations,...

Those that pray....please pray 4 me. I'm not doing well and I'm in this state of despair that I can't seen to shake. I'm just so so sad!!! I'm just so sad!!!

I'm sorry you are going through a hard time...The fact that you are reaching out on this board tells me that you are going to make it through the "deep sadness" (from the book The Shack). You're connecting to others who are dealing with tremendous challenges and are finding a way through....hang in there...there is always a rainbow after the storm. Hugs to you:)

I hope you are doing much better at this time. You will have good days and bad days, so learn what soothes you and what sets off the tears. After over 2 years I am doing so much better, but it was rough to get to this point. Keep checking in during your tough times. I don't log on very often any more, but I was on quite a bit when my situation first happened.

Like FamilyNoMore, it has been about 2 1/2 years now for me. I saw my counselor on Wednesday and officially pronounced that I am off the roller coaster. But OMG, while you are there it is torture. Some days it doesn't seem to be worth it to get up. Then, you feel better. Then, when you least expect it, you are back down again.

People say horrible things. At first it hurts, but then you realize it doesn't matter what they think. Its really about the relationship you have with yourself. Being at peace is about being OK with you!

I finally know that I am doing the things that are right for me and it feels really good! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but when you are on the low side of the roller coaster, it can feel like you will never get off. But, you will, I promise! We are here to hold your hand through it.
