This protocol worked to get my child back into remission and we were able to avoid the dreaded prednisone!
Using azithromycin and flagyl for 8 weeks. The exact protocol is online under clinical trials-currently study is at Boston Children;s Hospital, but your GI doc can easily prescribe these meds and monitor with bloodwork at weeks 8 and 12 as well.

We still are using methotrexate injection once a week as well as Pentasa daily.
Also use 200 billion probiotic, prebiotics, vit D, fish oils, l-carnitine, l-glutamine, good quality multivitamin.mineral, coconut oil. On a gluten free diet and corn free diet.
