Motherless Daughters Community Group

For any daughter who has lost their mother, whether through Death (if it's been one day ago or 40 years ago) or Abandonment, (i.e.-drug abuse, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, etc.) and is working through the grief process. This group provides unconditional support and understanding from women who have also lost their Moms and who truly care.

I am so glad to be a part of this Group. It is sad that we lost our Mothers but I find comfort in having all of you as friends. Thanks to all of you!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we should have a convention and meet too but we all live in different parts of the world so I dont know how that would work!!! But I would love to meet everyone here!!!!

Me too, I may be off here for a week at a time, but always come back because this really is my support group.

We'd all be pretty flippin' miserable without this support; I come here and am able to share things that I don't share with anyone else of my friends; the friends I now have I just really don't talk about my mom's death with - it's just too heavy for them, and I don't want to be known as a "downer" - I'm so grateful for all the love and support we give each other here - we keep each other afloat in this turbulent (at times) sea of grief we're traveling through. My heart goes out to all of you -

It is so true what you have said Dawn, except for all you wonderful friends here---people do not want to hear it. They call it "morbid".

Agreed Karen - sad but true - others just don't want to hear it. They think it's just something to "get over" - I just smile, and think to myself "Ohhh, just you wait until YOU get the phone call . . . " Funny how some people who have no empathy for your situation suddenly find themselves singing a different tune when it happens to them. *sigh*

Once again, I'm so grateful for all you wonderful women and this site! It's a godsend!

I am with you ladies!! I know that I am NOT sane yet, but this has been the most wonderful group I have ever had. I too, do not talk to people, because no one understands. I still get "the look", which I now call it, because people wonder what to say/do/feel, etc around me. I still feel as though I have this sign on my back that says, "yep, it is ME, my dad murdered my mother & committed suicide"...Don't know that I will EVER be the same again...I would love to meet you all...we need to do that...Thank you all so much, lots of love...
