Motherless Daughters Community Group
For any daughter who has lost their mother, whether through Death (if it's been one day ago or 40 years ago) or Abandonment, (i.e.-drug abuse, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, etc.) and is working through the grief process. This group provides unconditional support and understanding from women who have also lost their Moms and who truly care.
I'm very much in the same position. During corporate layoffs years ago, I decided to stay home and be Mom's caregiver. I took a course in Medical Transcription, and have worked as an at-home MT and Court Stenog. However, the pay is low. It's like being outsourced - unless you work long, hard hours and/or overnight shifts, don't expect big bucks. Some are scams but some are good companies. If you need advice contact me.
Right now, things are bad - even with Mom gone, jobs are just not there. And, like yourself, while I paid for our groceries and my own expenses while Mom's caregiver, her social security kept us afloat on taxes and house expenses. Now, I'm draining down and near to having to touch my retirement savings, which wasn't much anyway. I feel your pain FIRST HAND!
