Motherless Daughters Community Group

For any daughter who has lost their mother, whether through Death (if it's been one day ago or 40 years ago) or Abandonment, (i.e.-drug abuse, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, etc.) and is working through the grief process. This group provides unconditional support and understanding from women who have also lost their Moms and who truly care.

I am crying alot since I realized that it was the 3rd year anniversary of my mom's passing. She was 87 and I know if she could speak to me she would say that I have to let it go and move on but I can't help the way I feel. Does it ever stop hurting?

Donna, Yes it does get better. My Mother died 4 years ago today. She was almost 86. Her mind was perfect but her body was not. This is a quote I saw in a magazine about six months after my Mother died. It made me feel so much better. I hope it will help you... "I was surprised to find myself happy on the day my Mother died. I think I was relieved that she not longer suffered and that I had survived what I assumed would be the worst day of my life."
