Motherless Daughters Community Group

For any daughter who has lost their mother, whether through Death (if it's been one day ago or 40 years ago) or Abandonment, (i.e.-drug abuse, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, etc.) and is working through the grief process. This group provides unconditional support and understanding from women who have also lost their Moms and who truly care.

My mom was hit by a car and killed 3 years ago.

It has been a process. still lots of recovery work ahead. I am taking care of my Dad he has come to live with me. I have guilt and shame that she died that way. I wish I could change what happened. It is difficult to drive by the location I cry a lot. But at first I couldn't even sleep. It has slowly gotten liveable....

I am sorry for the painful way you lost your mother. I can relate to your feeling of guilt. I lost my mom almost two years ago. She caught pneumonia and strap at the hospital she went to get an outpatient procedure. It was an awful experience seeing my mom fight for her life. I feel guilty of not reading all the warning signs of the shitty hospital she walked into and the ugly feeling I got the day she went in for that procedure. I was her advocate and should had not let her doctor convince me that she was in good hands.

I play all of the events that happened after she went in for surgery over and over in my head. It's not easy to erase all of the ugly images or get over the trauma one goes through. Although I was able to move her to a different hospital where she died in a humane way and was well taken care off.
