Water is the best "diet" drink!

We all know that water can help with several health issues. Our complexion, our hair, and our weight. I personally am setting up a goal to drink more water and possibly the amount that is recommended. Here is a website that I went to find out how much water I should drink. It seems like a lot of water, but I think I can do it. One thing to keep in mind, if you are drinking a lot of water you should eat a banana also. Drinking a lot of water flushes out the potassium from your system and low potassium can lead to a heart attack.
Here is that website if you are interested in finding out how much water you should drink a day.

Hmmm. It's an interesting site, but I'm not so sure I agree with the results. I don't think that drinking 6 litres of water a day is going to be healthy for me. I could see having 2-3 litres, but not 6! Granted, the site does mention getting water through food and other types of drinks, which would decrease the 6 to a lower amount, but sheesh! I still think I'd be floating away! lol

I wouldn't be floating but drowning in 6 litres a day! I am happy with 1.5 litres as any more and I spend the day in the toilet and I can think of better places to be! But if one is drinking a lot of those carbonated cold drinks (liquid candy) changing to water is the far better option. I just feel that on 6 litres a day the only thing really working hard are your kidneys. I've also heard that if you drink a lot of water to have a banana but with 6 litres will the goodness of the banana have enough time to be absorbed before being washed along! Personally I don't think there is any one product that will help us lose weight but rather the balance of eating low fat, low sugar, less meat, no white bread, more fish and beans, fruit and vegetables will help us - everything in moderation, nothing in excess.

Another rule of thumb is to drink half your weight in ounces of water. My goal is to get up to 118 ounces by the end of the month. Right now I'm consuming 74 or more ounces of water a day.

interesting, I wonder if I can manage 3.3 liters a day! I do know I need to increase the amt of water I drink. I have a tendency to not drink enough and I can get dehydrated quickly, especially in this weather! I've been keeping bottles of water in the fridge and I make my own iced tea.

I've been trying to drink more water. I found that by always having a bottle of water with me, I tend to drink more. Throughout the day I drink between 5 and 7 liters of water. I have also noticed that by doing this, I eat less. I don't feel hungry as much, which definitely helps with my overeating issues. When I get bored of plain water, I mix in packets of instant green tea (Lipton is a good brand) for a little extra flavor. However, unless you like your tea super sweet, I don't recommend using the whole packet.
