Reading some of the posts reminds me of myself a little bit. I've started my little vision quest to lose 100 pounds on August 20th and so far so good. I'm 46, 6'5" and tipped the scale at 331.2 pounds to start off on the 20th. The most I ever weighed in at was 364 a few years back but I've been steady 320-330 range for the past few years. I worked out hard a few years back and got down to 302 so my first goal is to get down under 300 and go from there. I'm feel good and confident about this round and 221.2 is my end goal (I have not weighed that since finishing boot camp in 1995 - ah, the good ole days).
I use the Fitbit and a virtual gym to track my workouts (it has a food monitor it pairs with which is rather nice). I find it useful to take photos of what I eat, some progress photos and anything to SHOW me results in a positive light.
Pretty simple for me - keep active daily, no fast food soda or alcohol (not that I was a big drinker to begin with) and stick with the program.
Here's to wishing everyone success!

I couldn't afford to pay my rent. I was about a month away from being homeless. I really liked the job, but I need a roof over my head. I was fired from the job before that (in February as well as several others...
