When I got a manager's training job with a national copy center company, I worked in one of the Dallas,Texas locations. It was located in a small "L" shaped shopping center that also had a furniture store, dry cleaning store and a small convenience store. We were in the corner of the "L" with the convenience store forming the lower part. It was a popular spot for the local university since it sold kegs of beer. They started selling pizza by the slice that was very good, but, having managed for two national pizza chains and knowing how much room it took to make pizza, I was curious how they were doing it. I finally asked them how they could make pizza in such a small space and they confessed. They had a small oven in the back and were baking frozen pizzas! They were so good, I asked them what brand they were. They were Tombstone. Not a brand I knew. Plus, they sold the frozen pizzas in their store. That led me to buying Tombstones and taking them home to bake myself. And that's continued and I have a Tombstone pizza every weekend for the passed 8 years. It's been a little more than 25 years since I had my first slice of that wonderful pizza.
