Oh yes. I had a 1970 Pontiac Catalina with factory skirts on it. I always took them off in the winter because the snow and ice would pack up in the wheel wells. My friend had a 1956 Mercury with crusier skirts on it. I never had moon hub caps. I always preferred spinners.

What were baby moons snd spinners? Sounds like a group of dancers. :)

I remember seeing pictures of fender skirts in some family albums. Are the spinners like the ones used on the cars now that spin when the car stops???

Spinners and baby moons were types of hubcaps from the 50's and 60's. Baby moons were just a plain shiny cap that did not cover the entire wheel. Usually we painted the wheels to match the car or candy apple red depending on personal taste. The spinners were not like the ones today. They were a full disk hub cap with 3 or 4 spokes but they were attached to the hubcap and did not spin when the car stopped. We also had sunvisors to shade the windshield (this was before tinted windows) I also recall Oldsmobile had a prism like device that was on the top of the dash so you could see when the light turned green.

Oh, thanks elk-I know what you are talking about now. Didn't some of the cars have that green thingy at the top of the windshield~or did I dram that one!?!?!LOL

I remember that green sunshade (for lack of a better name) on some cars but the sunvisor looked a lot better.
