Do you remember shoe horns? Do people still use them? When I was growing up in the early 50s, there were shoe horns everywhere. Most of them were given away at shoe stores when a new pair of shoes were purchased. And they were used mostly by men and boys. The early ones were made of shiny metal and had a a bend at the opposite end so it could be held with the fingers. I've seen some, mostly plastic ones in overnight kits, but they're fairly flat.
