As the manager of the Temple Pizza Inn, one of my jobs was to drop all the money in the store into a secure drop box at a local bank every night. It included not only the day's receipts but also the cash used for making change. The bank was about a mile and a half from the store. I took the same route every night. One night, I noticed a car following me. Thinking it was a coincidence, I made an effort to see if the same car followed me. I even changed routes a couple of times. I stopped at a 7-Eleven one night just to see what would happen. The car went passed and I thought I was in the clear until it showed up six blocks up the street. The next night, I, again, stopped at the 7-Eleven but the car showed up 8 blocks up the street. The car wouldn't follow me into the bank parking lot and wouldn't follow me after I left. After a few more nights, I tried something a little different. The police station was across the street, so the next night, I went passed the bank and drove into the police parking lot. Apparently the man in the car was so intent on following me, he didn't notice I'd driven to the station and pulled in behind me when I stopped! Well, I leaned on my car horn and several police officers came running out. I told them the car had been following me for more than a week when I made my money drops. They pulled the guy out of the car and arrested him. They said they found a revolver and ski mask on the seat. guess the robber wasn't as smart as he thought he was.
