Let's have a math quiz. Pretend you're a carhop at Sonic. A customer's bill is $4.55 and he gives you a $10 bill. Now, tell me the change you would give him, using silver and bills.

really? are we all so afraid of math? here we go....and i'm the absolute worst at math!!! just odnt like numbers!

give em back a 5...and a quarter adn 2 dimes. right? hope so...but like i said...dont know or like math. j ust couldnt let this sit here any longer with no responses! (just be nice if you have to correct me!!)

Being an old carhop I would give them 4 ones and 5 quarters hoping for a bigger tip :-]

aaaah! that's not fair! never worked for tips..but that makes alot of sense. guess i'd be the one with no tips!

LOL by missing the two dimes looks like this old carhop could have used one!

in the olden days we were taught to count it back...backwards....understand? you needed the 2 dimes to make it 75...then a quarter to make it an even dollar so that it made it $5...then teh other 5 dollar bill.

geez...wonder why i found it necessary to try and explain that one/ hehe oh well........

Exactly Mama. Count backwards. Nobody is teaching that anymore. When you and I were growing up, every clerk that made change counted it back to you backwards,,10 makes 65,,10 makes 75,,25 makes five dollars and five makes ten dollars.
