I had red keds and I could jump higher and run faster than anyone else with thos magic shoes!! I had the kind with the rubber toes because I was really hard on my shoes. I even bought a cool look alike pair last fall that my grand-daughter "borrowed". I loved those shoes. And ......what about black jack gum????

Old Black Jack, licorice. Yeah, I remember. And how about Clove gum? By the way, I looked up US Keds on the internet and they don't make those old box-like tennis shoes anymore. I bought a pair of lookalikes recently, but they are Converse. They're not as heavy as the old ones, but they're sooooo comfortable.

oh my gosh i used to wear those too.i had red ones,blue ones and plain white ones.i had totally forgotten about those. i also used to have sadle shoes.i lived in those for about 6 years.if i could find some that would fit my feet now i would have a pair.

Yall can see how big they were by enlarging my first day of school photo in the photo section. They were really big in proportion to the kids that wore them..

I loved thos Keds. Red was my all time favorite and when I got new ones, I HAD to wear them out of the store! Did anyone else ever do that one???

The only time a got new shoes I had to wear them out of the store because the old omes were so small I couldn't get them back on my feet!!!! :)

i still wear keds and how bout those chuck taylors? my kids still wear those..

my favorite keds were purple. they were in when i was a kid and then came back in style again in every color imagineable when i was first starting college. cracked me up. but why do anything twice, i had lost interest in them by then. i had high tops instead and sneakers with pearls, sequins and things on them. lol.
