Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind, Memories, sweetened thru the ages just like wine. Come here and remember,, the good times and the bad.

I just joined and wanted to look in and say hello. Speaking of memories I believe my earliest memory is of my first red bicycle when I was about 3. I loved that lill bike.I also remember my first jewelry box with the balerina dancing around and around. Wow makes me really remember that I have a lot of memories, some good and enough bad to write a book. hmm, be back. Have a good weekend.

I'm sorry about misreading your memory. I thought it was an introduction. My little sister had a jewelry case like yours. She almost killed me when I broke the balerina. Keep those memories coming. I love the childhood memories the best. It let's me find another side of you. Please forgive me. Just for that, I'll hold off on the robbery and talk about swimming next time. Okay?

I won my first bicycle. I was 5 years old and a Texaco filling station had a grand opening and had a drawing for prizes. I won a 24" Schwinn bicycle. It was purple and cream colored and had a headlight on the handle bars and a button horn. I was too little to ride it at first and had to learn to ride a bike on a smaller one. When I did start riding the new bike, I had trouble getting off. I'd get on the bike by using the curb since my feet couldn't touch the ground when I was on it, and I had trouble getting off. I'd just stop and fall off the bike. After a bunch of skinned knees and ripped jeans, my mom talked one of my friends into showing me how to get off. All my friends had bikes and we went everywhere on them. There were 2 shopping centers near us that were closed on Sundays and we had the parking lots all to ourselves. We could go so fast! Our neighborhood was new and there were a lot of houses being built. We'd ride our bikes up and down the dirt and sand piles. As we got older, our parents allowed us to go to the kiddee matene at a theater almost 20 blocks away. And, of course, there was nothing better than riding my bike to school. I kept the bike until the English Racer bikes came around with their 3 gears and skinny tires. But that little 24" bike was so rugged and went through so much with me that I'll never forget it.

LOL, theres no need to hold off on any of our memories. The mistake was mine .. I took it upon myself to assume this was for good memories when it should be about just what it is, all of them, good and bad. But hey I enjoyed reading about all those bikes. Sooo it is true huh? We don't forget those first bikes do we?(smile) and enjoy the day. Ohhh and incidently I have a few bad memories to share to later. :(
