1969 Volkswagon
I did not know how to put it in reverse for the first two weeks i had it ,so I was very careful where I parked.
I once pulled it into a yard to turn around and of course there were people sitting outside.
I put it in neutral got out pushed it back into the highway hopped in and took off.
You can imagine how embarrassed i was when somone showed me how to put it in reverse.
But what a great little car it was.

1962 Ford Galaxie 500 XL

My favorite car was my first car,a 1950 yellow Willys Jeep Convertible. The picture that is used as the group symbol is very similar. They could be twins. It was a great car! It had a 4 cylinder engine, standard column transmission and wouldn't go much faster than 55mph. If you tried to go 60, it just say, "No". The little car had it's quirks. The dash lights had to be turned on and off separate from the headlights and could get you in trouble if you forgot. You adjusted the seat by taking out 4 bolts, sliding it into the new position and putting the bolts back in. The back side fenders had chrome steps to allow entrance to the back seat without opening the doors if the top was down. The spare tire was bolted to the back of the car. I added an ahoogah horn under the hood with the button for it on the steering column. It made for some interesting moments in traffic. I did everything in the car from driving dates to hauling cattle feed. The steps on the fenders made for fun Chinese fire drills. I bought the car when I was 15 years old with money I had in a savings account from money I'd saved working at my dad's store. The car cost $400, but when I checked my account, I had only $393! I called my dad at the store to see if he'd loan me the money. There was a long pause before he said he would since he knew where I worked.

1967 falcon.300 dollar purchase.several years of dependability.

1963 Pontiac Catalina convertible.

Followed closely by a 1964 Buick Sportwagon(Love Wagon) - think windows in the roof.

I've owned many 'finer' cars since these, but finer doesn' equate to favorite in my memory.

Can't recall the year, the first Buick Electra 225...Whoa, was that ever classy back then!

2 door 61 Chevy Impala. So big. So long So nice. I was the Happiest girl in the whole USA. For reals.

I had a Subaru,yellow, 1982. It was a stick 5 speed. First time I ever got a speeding ticket, was in that car. And when I left the state after 16 yrs. We sang "WE ALL LIVE IN A YELLOW SUBARU" I hated getting rid of it, but it had so many problems, it would have cost too much to repair..good memories, indeed!! <3

My own favorite car was my first: a 1970 Mercury Cougar. It was yellow with green interior, and had a built-in 8-track. Low on cool by 21st century standards, but I loved it when I got it in 1976. It seemed like it was always being towed off for something or other, but I still loved it.
