Elton John at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State. I've seen him twice more since then, Cher, Andy Williams, and Gaither Gospel Concert several times,

I saw Marty Robins at my first concert. It turned out to be a little like The Twilight Zone in that the emcee of the concert became my teacher in broadcasting school about 15 years later. he was a D.J. at a local country music station when he emceed the concert.

My daughter dated a young man for a few months and he hd abtained tickets for the three of us to see Neil Diamond in a few weeks. He was my most favorite at that time. He's the butt of many jokes now but I stilll think he is really quite talented. I was looking forward to the concert when my daughter decided she did not like her young man and was going to break uop with him. I was crushed. They decided inspite of their break up we would all go the the concert. Whew!!!
the tickets were for the 16th row, center, 4 seats from the isle. Becaise of our seating I felt I could have reached out and touched him. He was very young at the time and I considered becoming a groupie at the age of 55.
I appreciated young man getting the tickets. On the way home we stopped at his house to pick up daughters car. I excused myself to the ladies room and I could hear them "hissing" at one another through the bathroom door. I felt at that point we were'nt going to be served refreshments and I was right. We left immeditally and we never saw the young man again.
The next night I went to see Leon Redbone in concert and I believe to this day that Neil Diamond is Leon Redbone is discuise. :)

I saw the Beach Boys and they were soooooooooooooo cool. I always dreamed of living at the beach (which I got to do for 16 plus years,later) and their music just spoke to me. Plus I was in love with Denny the drummer!! Remember him??
