Disneyland for sure! It was the longest vacation we ever had. My dad was notorious for weekend vacations. I think it was in 1958 or 59 and we took 2 weeks. But, Disneyland wasn't all we saw. We went to Knott'sberry Farm, Marineland, and Hoover Dam. Plus, we got to meet some relatives we'd never met. And a bigger plus was I got to see girls in bikinis in person! I'd seen them in movies, but never in person. That makes a whole lot of difference in so many ways.

Virginia Beach, Virginia.....I think I was 7 maybe 8 , I already lived in Va, but never been to VA beach, it's like 3 hours south of my hometown. That was the 1st time I'd ever seen big ocean waves or real dolphins jumping in the distance.

We use to go tent camping up the mountains,Pumping the water out of that old metal pump for dishwater.Laughing at my much older sister reaction when she had to use the out house.Sitting by the fire watching the racoons and skunks,Going to the rangers office for sing a longs and feeding the wild deer from our hands.Going out on the row boats was fun.My brother and I would chase my sister with daddy long legs,just to hear scream mommy ,mom as she ran away.I could go on and on,it was the best 3 weeks of the year.
