A big thanks to Debra for getting this group started. There are just a few members now, but I feel certain the numbers will grow over time.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002, but I had symptoms going back 12 years or so before that. By the time I was finally diagnosed I was already in a progressive stage. I do all I can to keep a positive outlook. So much of MS I can deal with most of the time. So many changes in my life, I can no longer work, I need to use my power-chair when i leave home. I'm blessed to have the chair and the van with a lift, and the unwavering support I have from my friends and family helps me keep a positive attitude. I know that some don't have that support at home, and I think this group my be a supportive place for all of us, regardless of our home situation.
That being said, there is one thing that I really can't handle, chronic pain. I truly hope this group will be a sanctuary
for us to visit, learn, be heard and in general be a place of solace for all.
I had my Medtronic drug infusion pump implanted in February 2006. I look forward to meeting new friends with
the pump. Also, there may be a caretaker or family member of a person with the pump that may have some questions or need support.
