Have you tried any other treatments previous to this? Is this your first round of IVF? Do you know your AMH levels etc? I would want to know what med levels they are considering and what they hope to see as outcomes. Are you planning to do a fresh or frozen transfer? PGS testing?

I have done all of the fertility testing with my Dr, my infertility is caused by endometrosius. Because our insurance will pay for ivf we are skipping iui because i was told they would not be successful. We are doing a fresh cycle but not sure what the PGS is.

We were given the same advice about skipping IUI due to endometriosis and low amh (and having insurance). But be warned the insurance won't cover everything.. there are loopholes such as they randomly won't cover some meds because they are compound (you have to mix them) or they will only cover some amount of the drug. Also you'll obviously have to meet your deductible. We also have to pay 10% co-insurance so we're quickly approaching our max out of pocket limit which is around 3 thousand.

Secondly, do some research about fresh vs. frozen cycles. The advantages of ICSI and PGS testing. Those were both recommended to us. Also find out what medication protocol they plan on putting you on and do your research on that specific protocol or the specific meds they want to use. Knowing what the heck was going on is all that kept me on top of this cycle.
