Hello, ladies. Unfortunately, AF showed up on day 25, so our trying on our own did not work out. LAME. I then proceeded to my baseline on Day 3 (yesterday) and to my surprise, we found 2 huge cysts, one on each ovary, ranging from 18 to 24 mm! There were 1 or 2 little follies around them. Also got a blood test showing my estrogen was 166 (too high) and progesterone 0.29 (normal). This means that the cysts are a hinderance to moving forward with a new cycle. I told them, have the doctor call me. Instead, the nurse called and said "your doc says take a month off and lets hope the cysts go away." WTF. Thats the 2nd time out of 6 cycles I got cysts...which I know I know, they are common when taking stims. But the bedside manner of the clinic is bad. I thought about it long and hard with my husband. Called the clinic back and said, "please refund me for the remaining unrendered services." We paid for a package and only used half of it. They said they would work on it immediately. So basically, they're fired! 

I was happy to do this, only because last week, I had a consulation with Hanabusa IVF in San Diego. They are a Japanese-style IVF clinic and focus on older patients and specifically, diminished ovarian reserve. Which is my category. They focus on low dose or natural IVF, with the focus on getting just 1-2 eggs, which is typically all I give anyway. The price is like 1/3 of my old clinic. Thats because they do egg retrievals whenever you're ready, with no general anesthesia. Just local anesthesia and its a short office visit. You can literally go back to work afterwards. Also, the RE does the ultrasounds and HE CALLS YOU with any updates or discussion. How refreshing!

I am pretty much out this cycle, but will start my transition to Hanabusa to be prepped for next cycle. I might even get my HSG done so its out of the way. I feel pretty good and that this could be a great new start. I am hopeful!
