I haven't been online too much and sorry I have been away. Its been a tough past few months so its been hard to reach out and communicate. I still don't have good baby news. However, my new clinic has been amazing and I finally feel like I am in good hands. All I know is, I have many more months of trying before I toss in the towel and purchase frozen donor eggs.
So, since September 2017, here is what I accomplished with the new clinic where we have had 4 retrievals...
First cycle, menopur + clomid only = 2 large follicles (rest too tiny to count), 1 retrieved, disintegrated on day 6/7; never became blast. Second cycle, menopur + clomid only = 4 follicles, 2 retrieved, 1 blast, pgs abnormal. Third IVF, added Omnitrope, gonal-f plus clomid = 7 follicles, 6 retrieved, 1 blast, pgs abnormal. Fourth IVF, continued Omnitrope, gonal-f plus clomid = 5 follicles, 5 retrieved, 1 blast, pgs abnormal.
So, my conclusion, although we have not been successful yet, is that HGH forced me to make more eggs, and more mature eggs. And, according to what I read online, the more mature eggs you retrieve, the higher likelihood of getting normal embryos. I plan to keep on trying and holding onto my 3 frozen abnormal embryos to see if we can do a transfer if all else fails. There's some research that indicated abnormals may correct themselves and give you a healthy birth.
Glad to be back and can't wait to read all of your progresses! xoxo
So glad to see you back! You have been on quite a journey. I admire your spirit and determination! You will be successful! Stay strong and keep us posted!!! <3 <3
Thank you for the encouragement! I feel like we'll try a few more retrievals and perhaps skip to 3 day embryo transfers, rather than forcing these fragile eggs to withstand a lab for 5-6 days. I am continuing to research and will probably get some online consults from others.
Wow! You're so amazing! Thank you so much for sharing how you've got on. I've personally taken a break the last few months because it all felt too much but you've inspired me to keep going and look forward with hope again. I forgot how much you all remind me I am not alone in my infertility.
Mrs. O, I am happy to hear that you are inspired to continue! You are definitely not alone. We also took a break this month because my husband got sick. When I get my period in about a week, I'll go in for baseline and keep you all posted!
XOXO!
