Hi ladies, I am new to this group. I am in the middle of preparing for my FET which is this coming Thursday March 22nd. I'm I'm trying to psych myself up ro do my first Pio shot. I didn't have to do them with my other FET, only the crinone gel. I'll be transferring one non-tested high quality 5-day blastocyst. I'm flying to Chicago where they are stored because I have moved to Florida since doing my IVF.IVF. looking for some ladies to chat with about where they're at in their Cycles. I used to be on fertile thoughts, but there doesn't seem to be much activity there with March Cycles, so here I am. Good luck to everyone!
Btw, just did my first Pio shot myself. My husband got really nervous to do it and turned white as a ghost. I think I hit a nerve or something because it hurts already. I heated the oil and my butt first and now laying on the heat again. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
Hey there! We are set to start doing our stim medications on March 24th. So I do not have any great advice from personal experience yet except I did read that you should "vigorously massage" the area. Good luck to you!!
So exciting!! Great job doing your own shot! I actually hit a nerve in my leg a few years ago and it never fully healed. I still have a small area of numbness.
Where in Florida are you living? I live in FL too.
Mrsmooney, I live near Ft. Lauderdale. Where are you? I know sometimes when you damage a nerve it's never the same! I've had headaches since I startrd the shots. It stinks!
Hi!
I would ask your doctor to prescribe some lidocaine cream. That’s what I used. I put it on about an hour or so before my shot time and then used plastic wrap and medical tape to keep the cream in place while I went about my business. Don’t rub the cream in, just let it sit on top, about a penny size amount should do it. I don’t even feel them.
My husband doesn’t like needles, but he just focused and did the dart like motion and it was over before he knew it and I didn’t feel it at all. He was actually more gentle than my nurse friend who did the first one.
Hopefully he can try again.
Stay strong.

Good luck! I hope you get some rest and try to take your mind off everything. My binge-watch recommendations from my last post-op "bedrest" are Nurse Jackie (drama) and The Good Place (silly comedy). Keep us updated!
Tested this morning at 4dpt. Got a negative, but it's still early. Had a terrible headache last night which is my pregnancy curse, so I'm hoping that's a good sign!
