Another bump in the road (literally)

Well I was told earlier this week that my doctor wanted to do a saline sonogram before my FET next month, which irritated me because I remember it being painful and expensive. Turns out it was $938! Holy Shh..anyways, I have reconciled with all that and had the dang test today. Well, they found at least one polyp and their murmuring quietly indicated to me they found another one. It wasn't my regular doctor so he would give me no information (it's no big deal, I promise) and my appt with my doc is not until 7/6! Anyone had these? What is the protocol?

I had one in 2014 that they went in and removed surgically. They also suspected that I had another in 2015... and I had to do the sonogram before we could move forward with my transfer. It impedes implantation. The 2014 removal was done laparoscopically and was really a minor procedure... but it was yet another slow down in the process :(

Ugh...do you remember the time frame from after the surgery to transfer?

I haven't had this issue, but can imagine your frustration. I am sorry you are having to deal with this!! Hugs!!!

I think in 2014 they wanted me to have another cycle after the surgery... possibly two. I am not certain. But I know it felt like a big blow and slowed things down.
In 2015 it turned out not to be a polyp so we moved forward pretty quickly.

Fsugrad, I am so sorry! I have never had this (yet?), but I was told by my clinic that if they show up, they typically remove them, as they may be an impediment to embryo implantation. I am not sure what the recovery time is, but some have mentioned after removal, waiting out one cycle minimum and taking estrogen or BCP to build up the endometrium to be nice and thick, having an AF, then moving forward with IVF again. But, you'll be monitored and anything can happen, as all of our bodies (and doctors!) are different. Please keep us posted on how your appointment goes this week. Sorry you have to wait so long to be seen!
