Background. Married when I was 19 and my wife was 17. We married because it's what we wanted and not because she was pregnant. Now we have been married for 7 years and it feels like we are walking a very fine line with it being over and that's not what I want. We both recently, within the past 2 years have had a dramatic change between loosing our jobs and starting new careers. And also having twins on top of the two we already have.
Lately my wife took the kids and stayed are her parents for a week and during that time we argued over the phone about some stuff, and at the house by myself I started getting depressed and feeling like I was loosing my family. She comes back and it feels like there's nothing there anymore. We talk about problems and some I admit i could do better on. But it feels like the problems are still there and not getting better. I know it's going to take time but I keep getting a gut feeling like she doesn't want to and is just waiting for me to give up and be the one to ask for a divorce. Its not what I want. I want to work through them. We argue about everything and current financial state isn't helping. She thinks I'm pessimistic about things and I feel that looking at our situation something's are not realistically possible.
Example: her working. I have no problem with it. I encourage it actually. My only coverco is I don't see how we can financially support 4 kids in childcare. And when I bring it up she thinks I'm being pessimistic about the thought and I don't want her working.
Any thoughts mainly on getting a feeling of progress towards getting better together would be appreciated.
Hi. We married early too with our three month old daughter at the simple ceremony. 25 years later ( and one son) and we came really close to failing. Might still, but things have been changing for the better. Fairly quickly actually. The progress has come from me making serious life changes. The more peace I find in myself the more I can open my heart to her. And it’s helping her to warm up to the new feelings of optimism. While I know I can’t fix her and also continue to be aware of the distance we still need to travel, working on my issues has been a great start. Taking responsibility for my own happiness is the key. Also we made the promise to eachother to be kind. No argument just respectful talking. I know it’s hard but someone has to drop the ego and start. It sounds like that’s going to be you. Be patient and kind. Appreciate every moment you have together. Be present.
You exept your mistakes and are willing to work on it. Dont give up. Keep on showing her that you want to make things right. My husband refuse to exept he makes mistakes. If he said some hurtfull things and walked away and come back after 5 min, i must be happy and cheerfull other wise i always wants to make a fight over things thats in the past and then he explodes, so its better for me to cry in silence and try to keep going so i am proud of you for trying to make things right. Keep showing her you love her and apretiates her. Good luck
What where the signs that your S.O. was having an affair?
I don't like feeling like snooping and I believe if you go looking for nothing good you will.find it. And lately it's been true. And I don't like the feeling. I've straight asked and she's said no, but on Facebook it tells a different story. While I don't have all the facts it's a damning tale that can only be solved by honesty. When will I feel confident that the answers I get are the truth?
