Hello everyone, my name is Kat and I’m new to this group. My boyfriend/future fiancé is named Jesse and he and I have been together a little over a year now. He joined the Marines out of anger and frustration after a bad day at work completely unplanned about a month after we started dating. I’ve been extremely supportive of him being his #1 fan through the Poolee Stage, Bootcamp, Combat Training and now in MOS Training out in Virginia. He graduated Bootcamp Feb. 8th of this year. He’s soon to be graduating MOS Sept. 12/13th and getting stationed at Camp Pendalton after.
I just got back from seeing him for a weekend a couple weeks ago. Although I only got to see him for about 46 hours it was well worth it. Now I’m at the point where we’ve passed our one year anniversary mark and I’m starting to reminisce about last summer when he was home. Anyone know what I’m talking about with just missing the good old days? I love him to death and I know he’s the one but it’s really starting to set in just how much it hurts not having him home anymore. Would love to talk to some of you guys who know roughly what I’m going through
I totally know what you’re talking about, reminiscing about the good ol’ days. My boyfriend graduated from boot camp in June and is now in North Carolina for SOI until the end of August...our one year anniversary is actually this week so all I can think about is last summer and all the times before and after we were official.
