Hello everyone! My name is Kaitlyn and I live in New Mexico. My boyfriend is currently stationed in Brazil. He is a Marine Corps Security Guard. We have been together for about a little over a year and a half. We have been long distance our whole relationship. We met after he was in bootcamp. I got used to flying out to see him every 2 months because he was stationed in California. However, now its a bit harder. Although I try to keep busy as much as possible, it does get hard because I honestly do not know when I will see him again. Some people think I'm crazy for staying with him, but how do you leave someone just becaue of distance? Life sucks without him, but it would be worse without him completely in my life at all. If anyone is here to talk I'm always here to help! I can help share my own experiences wih you and hope it can help you or vice versa! KEEP BUSY and STAY STRONG ladies<3

How do you make things work? My boyfriend just came home from boot and left again for additional training before school. I can't stand not being able to communicate with him, how do you and your boyfriend make it through, and do you have any tips? Thanks! -kels

My boy and I have been long distance our whole relationship as well. Its hard but I always look towards the future with him. We always make time for each other even if it is just a five min phone call. Its hard but remember its just making your relationship stronger. If you really love him then the distance is just a minor detail. My friends also think im crazy for staying with him which is why I joined this group. To find others like me.

My Marine is only my second bf and I am 20 years old. My first bf and I were long distance so it was a good experience to have even though this is much different and my Marine is much much farther. My friends also think I am crazy but I'm more encouraged in group like this!

Hey! My boyfriend has been in for 4 years, and will be going MSG in about a year. We have been together for about a year, and I'm nervous for him to do MSG, and the distance will be harder, and for three years. If you wanna message me sometime that would be great!

My Marine has been in for about two years now. We've been together a few months before he enlisted. We've had our rough patches and yes the distance suuuucks. He will be leaving to Texas soon for about 6 months to finish up school for his MOS and i'll be in California finishing my college degree. It's gonna be rough i know but like you said, we have to stay strong! Yeah, message me any time anyone. I'd love to chat and lend a shoulder also for anyone who needs it. I totally understand the struggle ladies haha
