My boyfriend had his ship date in late September, which means I am almost 1/3 of the way to seeing him again. The first month has been really tough. I have had denial, sadness, anxiety, and heartache through it. The tough part is, if you’re used to talking so much. For me, my boyfriend is my bestfriend. So I have noticed I spend a lot of time at home now in place of usually being with him. It is disappointing when you don’t receive letters but you need to write them anyway. The mail system is slow so write as much as possible, it bums them out when they don’t hear from you on mail call days. Good luck guys I hope this helps.
