I just wanted to alert everyone to an article in the USA Today today. There is an article about Lynch Syndrome. A Nashville music critic, Brian Mansfield wrote an article about his experience with being diagnosed. If you are interested, it is a nice read. I felt glad to have the word out there about Lynch Syndrome. Hope all is well with everyone. Having my ups and downs. I just had my first endoscopy, not horrible news, just some polyps to be biopsied. Hoping to continue to be vigilant with my screenings and keep ahead of the game. My prayers to you all and wishing you all good health.
Thanks for the heads up on this article. I hope it's listed online. About a year ago, I was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome, too (MSH6) & so were my 3 kids! I was adopted at birth & when I was 4o I searched & found my true family. I have a biological sister, Lisa, that died from colon cancer in her 40's, my birthdad had colon cancer, various cousins & an uncle & I recently lost my wonderful biological brother to prostate cancer - it is thought that all may have been Lynch related. Praise God that I searched & found my biological family cause now that I know about the Lynch Syndrome being in my biological family tree, I feel like those of us that know - aren't 'sitting ducks' . . . we can be observant & educate ourselves so as to live normal & long lives.
