The first step in changing your lying habit is to admit you have a problem.....congratulations on taking that first most difficult step....I too have hurt many people close to me with my habitual lies.....

Same here im on the edge of loosing my bf

I like to think we are all here because of taking the first step. I am new here as of today and I am struggling with the lies I am telling to others. Lies I have done to make myself feel good. It is always about me and always selfish, all in the sake of not losing my pride, in the name of saying no matter what is going on, I am a good person and so I want to look good to others.

And all I am doing is making myself look bad...very very bad. I know my family is close to saying I am a lost cause. That I am not to be trusted. That I nothing I say is to be believed. Ugh...this sucks when you feel like the best way out is another lie that everything will be okay.

Just like you I'm in the same shoes I lied to my spouse on a daily basis about things that I can't do be at my job be my paychecks. I think if I lie it will by me some time show I can do things right. I have been jobless for the week and today I started my new job but I also came clean to her and said I have been lying the last 3 weeks about working I knew that she new I didnt have a job but I just kept lying about it yes she is pissed but I just need to deal with it.
