Lupus Warriors Community Group

This group is for people who have lupus or may know someone who has Lupus. I am 26 yrs old and I have SLE. I want to have a place where we can vent, exchange ideas, and give support to each other. I want this group to be home for everyone. We do not judge, but try to bring support to all. If you are newly diagnosed or had it for a long period of time your welcomed.

Alternative Medicine

I am new to Lupus and have been considering alternative medicine to help with symptoms and flairs. I'm not to fond of taking a medication that has the potential for causing seizures let alone the other side affects. Has anyone else used or using alternative therapy?? Just trying to check all options.

My lupus is medically"Mild" but debilitating for me, with fatigue, pain and sometimes organ involvement. I choose to use alternative medicine and it's helped me manage much better. Very experienced acupuncturist and the right herbal tonics for me help my energy levels. Occasionally I take pain relief.
It's your own body and your's to explore with. I'm so glad I chaeck out many options and choose what works well for me. All the best.

Before having my twins and the luxury of healing myself and being able to dedicate tons of downtime to myself I went into remission by taking very low dose of plaquenil eating an AIP diet. Organic of course. It worked and was in remission for two years then motherhood happened.
