I deal with a lot of pelvic pain. So far, I have not found anything to help completely. I take pain meds to take the edge off and I use heating packs/heatng pads and hot baths. I feel for you. I really do. I was given a prescription for Ponstil (sp?). It is specifically for bad pelvic pain/mensral pain. It has helped me more than anything else has. However, pain is felt differently for everyone and the reaction that we all have to pain meds/other remedies is all different as well.

Keep speaking up for yourself with your doctor. If one thing is not helping, ask for something else. You deserve relief.

I take neurontin. I've been on it for two years now. It's a "sister" drug to Lyrica. It changes the way you recieve the pain signals. I've found a lot of relief from that. There is also a class of antidepressants that treat pain (Cymbalta is one). I still have to take pain meds sometimes but it's been 3 1/2 years since my last surgery and that's a long time for me. Hope you can find something that will work for you.

the only thing i allow myself to take is motrin cause i have 8 children and i can't feel foggy and still care for them ... but being in pain all the time isn't any better either

I try IBP when I can but sometimes when I need to i take 1/2 a pain pill....heat worked for a while but now it does nothing for me so I am using ice packs
